Missions at Cornerstone begins right here in Lebanon. We are called to reach the city of Lebanon with the love of Christ. We are also aware that there is a world full of people like those in Lebanon who desperately need to have the love of Christ in their lives. This world is so broken and so dark for so many – that is why we support the following individuals and organizations.

Lowell and Kathy Smith
Rick and Kristi Hackman
Lowell and Kathy Smith, natives of Lebanon, are the founders of this wonderful grassroots ministry to the hurting, needy people of India. Recently, our own Cornerstone members, Rick and Kristi Hackman, have become very active in the ministry with Independent Church In India. ICII is a small mission dedicated to helping those in India who are cast down by their society and in desperate need. By building orphanages, housing lepers, and helping rebuild homes and villages after horrendous natural disasters, this ministry opens true relational, love-filled roads to sharing the love of Christ.

Founded for the purpose of seeing justice done to those in need and to committers of injustice, IJM is an organization that truly helps people experiencing the most desperate of times. “Terrify No More” by IJM founder Gary Haugen is a must-read for anyone who wants to see injustice done away with in this world.

World Vision helps transform the lives of the world's poorest children and families in nearly 100 countries, including the United States. Their non-profit work extends assistance to all people, regardless of their religious beliefs, gender, race, or ethnic background. World Vision is a Christian relief and development organization dedicated to helping children and their communities worldwide reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty.
When we first saw the thousands of children running for their lives, we were surprised by the lack of international attention. No one was talking about child soldiers, night commuters or the Lord’s Resistance Army. So, we asked ourselves, “How can we help?” While we had our own big ideas in the beginning, the more time we spent among the people of Uganda, the more their reoccurring pleas became our development strategies.
Invisible Children is not offering a handout, but instead, a life-long investment in vulnerable youth. We provide them with quality education and valuable life skills that enable them to take responsibility for their future and the future of their country.
To achieve this goal we emphasize community involvement and Ugandan leadership. As a part of a global community, we also promote cross-cultural education, and continuously look for ways we can better work together in defending the oppressed and promoting peace.
